With the summer season comes our longing for sun rays, beaches and electrified colors so what better to satisfy this craving than the tropical fashion trend of the hour?
Seen on the runways of Italian designers Alberta Ferretti and Salvatore Ferragamo or in New York at Proenza Schouler and Altuzarra, ultra colored floral prints are it to add a festive flavor to your summer outings. Some stars rocked the trend, like Kate Mara, sister of Rooney, in a printed cocktail dress as well as Beyoncé wearing a bold Stella McCartney pant.
At XXI, I stumbled upon a wide range of little summer dresses in tropical floral prints (see 5) that will no doubt charm you with their fun colors and their very low prices. At Spring, I chose a pair of wedges (see 4) that will punch up any of your neutral looks. The new Summer Sunset perfume from Lise Watier (see 3) is the perfect complement to your tropical looks, with its floral and fruity notes that include jasmine, grapefruit flowers and bergamot.
