What are the trends for Spring 2012?
We put our own twist on patterns this season with brightly colored plaids and camo prints, and touched on nautical themes with striped detailing and seersucker fabrics. Summer leather played a major role with varsity jackets, dresses and motocross styles.
We infused a traditional plaid with hounds tooth in saturated hues such as orange and blue, and repeated the pattern in varying proportions to give our customers a unique print-on-print effect that feels fresh for Spring.
The last trend we will explore on the blog in relation to Complexe Les Ailes spring 2012 campaign is probably the most audacious and fun at the same time. This season, prints took over the runways and are playing it in pairs and trios for our visual delight.
Florals are on top of the must-have list of prints to mix in an outfit, as seen at Dries Van Noten and Isabel Marant. Continue reading
